Vessels Core Values

We value our students, encourage their academic and social development, and reward positive performance in and out of the classroom.

We develop the strengths and talents of our students so they will grow to be passionate about learning.

We find joy in our work and help our kids do the same.

We develop positive and meaningful relationships with our students, colleagues, and families to best support the needs of the learning community.

We work together across grade levels teams and continuously adapt instruction to meet the needs of all learners.

We value diversity and inclusivity in all that we do!
Spring is a Great Time to Read!

Reading is fundamental! Students becoming better readers is our daily focus at Vessels!

You can help support what we do at school by reading with child(ren) each night. Setting aside the time to read nightly goes beyond children becoming better readers. In fact, studies show that reading with your child can:

Promote cognitive development

Improve language skills

Develop a stronger bond with parents

Improve imagination and creativity

Improve concentration and discipline

Support a lifelong love for reading

These factors are instrumental in the development and continued growth of all children and their abilities to become better learners.

Please join us in for the Vessels Spring Challenge. Please read with your child for twenty minutes nightly throughout the month of April. Tag us @vessels.bulldogs with a photo of your family reading together to be featured in this month's Bulldog Bark!

We can all make a difference in the lives of our scholars!

Thank you for your continued partnership and for making Vessels a great place to learn and grow.

Math Resources

Math is all around us and it is vitally important that our students continue to practice math each and every day. Math facts and math fluency are skills that help children with recall and automaticity, making higher-level math concepts easier to solve while preventing simple mistakes.

Help us at home by allocating time each night to practice facts even in the upper grades to ensure that your child has a leg-up as they promote to the next grade level. Below are resources to assist with math facts and fluency.

Math printables here.

Math games here.

Help us in our goal of lifting all students to proficiency and mastery at Vessels.
