Greater Sacramento COVID-19 Update
June 5, 2020
Good Afternoon,

This week has shown us the heartache of communities across the U.S. and right here in Greater Sacramento.

We've witnessed the right to peacefully assemble in action and unfortunately have also seen the corruption of the peaceful movement overshadow the true message. My prayers go out to the communities across the U.S. that are crying for justice to be served, especially the Floyd family during this time of mourning. We deserve a better nation that is united under peace, justice and equality. All voices must be heard and we all have our part in shifting the direction of this country to a united America.

I was witness to great leadership by community members and our elected officials who rolled up their sleeves to help clean up damaged storefronts this week. Those businesses were already struggling through COVID-19 and were handed another devastating blow. Uniting together to serve one another was, I hope, a small moment of healing and the first of many to build on. It is more important than ever that we work together for the betterment of all of our communities – so that all citizens feel safe, protected, heard and free.

Thank you,
Barry
