Thank you for your continued patience as we learn to live through this ongoing pandemic.
I appreciate you sending your annotated bibliographies for the Music History Comprehensives. I know research has been difficult without in-person access to the Robinson Music Library. If you are concerned about not having the right number of sources for your recital pieces, send the documents anyway. We understand the challenges and will be flexible during this process.
Comprehensive exams will be delivered virtually through Canvas. To allow for the different time zones you are in, the dates of the exams are April 29 – May 1. You will be able to access the exams at any time during these dates. Each exam is timed and should be completed in one sitting. For the Music Theory exam you will have two hours and for the Music History exam, one hour. On April 28, you will receive specific instructions for accessing the exam so you can try logging in before the exam window opens.
Once the exam window is closed, the exams will be graded by Dr. Cutler and Dr. McClary. I will notify you of the results as soon as they are available.
