PINELLAS COUNTY'S SAFER AT HOME RESOLUTION
On March 25, 2020, Pinellas County passed a "Safer at Home" resolution for individuals, business owners and any place of public assembly to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). The City of Largo will align our efforts with the County to promote a collaborative and regional response to protect the health and safety of our community. SOLID WASTE COLLECTION AND COVID19
Largo is always committed to providing high-quality collection service. At this time, all residential solid waste collection will be provided normal services. Due to the understanding that commercial customers may have experienced reduced service hours, staff is available to help analyze current needs and make recommendations on service changes. Please call 727-587-6760 if you would like to discuss any service changes. 
SHANGRI-LA APARTMENT ENTRANCE CLOSED
The Shangri-La Apartment Park (“Shangri-La South”) entrance at 250 Rosery Road and 2nd Street NW will be closed from Monday, March 30 until Friday, April 3. City contractor Nelson Construction will close the entrance to perform work within City right-of-way as part of the Rosery Road Project. Access to Shangri-La South can be made through Shangri-La North, located at 249 Jasper Street. The emergency access fence between the two properties will be opened for this purpose and detour signage is in place.

BUILDING AND BUSINESS RESOURCES
Following the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendation for social distancing, Largo City Hall is currently closed to the public. Planning staff will continue to assist customers via email at AskaPlanner@largo.com and via phone at (727)587-6749 Ext. 7301.The Building Division will continue functioning for permitting and plan review via online, mail in and drop-off options, with inspections. Permit review times may be delayed in particular cases.

CONGRESSMAN CRIST'S MOBILE OFFICE HOURS
The mobile office hours with the Office of Congressman Charlie Crist, scheduled for April 2, 2020 have been canceled in light of evolving health concerns in response to COVID-19. As a proactive measure to preserve the health and well-being of the community, the Office of Congressman Crist is available to take constituent telephone calls from 9am until 5pm, Monday through Friday. Constituents and residents needing assistance with a federal matter can reach Congressman Crist’s staff at 727-318-6770.

Examples of federal issues may include the following matters: issues related to Disaster assistance loans for small businesses, Medicare, Social Security, Military/Veterans Administration, IRS/banking, immigration as well as federal legislative matters.
