Data Collection Updates & Requests
Thank you, thank you for all your work in distributing and collecting workshop participant data. As you know, the data is critically important as it allows us (in Wisconsin) to inform national and local partners of the reach and impact of our programs. Unfortunately, we are not seeing a good return rate for the online workshop surveys and ask that you take steps to help us collect the data (see strategies and tips for data collection at right).

In addition, we respectfully ask that you keep track of which of your participants filled out the survey, rather than emailing us to check. It's very time-consuming to search in the system for participants with the volume of workshops taking place statewide.

Thank you so much for your assistance with all of this. Please let us know if you are experiencing issues with data collection. We will continue to work to make this as easy and effective as possible for our partners and participants.
Strategies and tips for getting participant data:

1. Ask participants to do the survey during an orientation session
(session 0).

2. Ask participants to join 15 minutes early for session 1 (usual practice) and enter the survey link in the chat box. As participants “arrive,” have them click on the link and fill out the survey before the session starts.

3. Remind participants that the online surveys are safe and secure through WIHA.

4. If a participant is uncomfortable filling out the survey online, you can either;

  • Mail them a paper copy, ask them to mail it back to you and you enter it using the Wufoo link to the online form

  • Verbally ask them the questions over the phone during session 0 and enter it into the online Wufoo form.
Be Active Tips

Physical Activity for Lifelong Success (PALS) program providers and others who want to encourage physical activity now have some new "tips" graphics to use in newsletters, on social media or in other communication. Check out all the tips at the link below OR download Tip #4 at right.
