From the Minister
Dear Unity Family,
For those with eyes to see and ears to hear, our world is in the midst of a spiritual awakening around the toxicity of systemic racism in our society. Through marches and protests, the voice of the people is being heard, "Enough is enough!"
This global movement is a powerful reminder that it is up to us to keep the momentum going. It is up to us to speak Truth to power. It is up to us to make significant change for the better.
As Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "There comes a time when silence is betrayal."
For many of us, learning to be a white ally to our black and brown brothers and sisters will be painful at times. That's okay. While I encourage you to always be gentle with yourself... I also invite you to get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
Start where you are. Make a commitment to stay tuned in. No matter where you are on the learning curve, now is the time to put all your chips on the table.
Former NFL player, Emmanuel Acho, has created a FABULOUS new series called "Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man" in which he has "uncomfortable conversations" with white America to help bridge the gap of education and information on the topics of racism and social injustice.
Check out this first episode... and then subscribe to his YouTube channel to watch additional episodes.
There is much for which to be hopeful. We are the ones.
In Love and Unity,
Rev. Anne Tabor

The First Agreement:
"Be Impeccable with Your Word"
Sunday, July 5
, 2020
11am CT, Rev. Anne Tabor
In his bestselling book, The Four Agreements, don Miguel Ruiz offers four tenets that promise to have a profound impact on your life. For over twenty years, its popularity has continued to reveal the self-limiting beliefs that take away our joy and create suffering. These ancient teachings can immediately be put into practice to transform your life into new experiences of freedom, true happiness, and love.
Join Rev. Anne as we explore the first agreement,
"Be Impeccable with Your Word." Since your word is the gift that comes directly from God, Ruiz believes this is the most important agreement and the most challenging one to honor.

In this moment, I quiet my mind and open my heart.
Breathing deeply, I place my attention on the one mind, the one heart, and the one breath.
I open to the infinite field of love, peace, and radiant well-being that is always available. Centered here in the truth of my being, I am renewed and resourced, illuminated with divine wholeness.
All that I do this day arises from this place of consciousness.
My life is love, peace, and radiant well-being in action-this day and every day.
How grateful I am to know this truth! And so it is! Amen.

UNITY'S FIVE BASIC PRINCIPLES
There is only one Presence and one Power in the Universe and in my life,
God the Good.
Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within.
Their essence is of God, and therefore they are also inherently good.
Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking.
Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.
Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.
Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough.
A person must live the truth he or she knows.
|
CORE VALUES
Spirit-Led:
Centered in the awareness of God's presence, we turn within for divine guidance in
all we do.
Love:
Love is our True Nature. We express the harmonizing power of love to
see good everywhere and in everybody. Love binds together the whole
human family.
Diversity:
We believe that all people are created with sacred worth. In a spirit of Unity,
we embrace each person as an expression of God grounded in truth and love.
Connection:
We live, love, and laugh from our Oneness with God. We honor our inter-connectedness with each other, with all life, and the earth.
Abundance:
God is our Infinite Source of Good. We gratefully demonstrate prosperity in all areas of our lives. We wisely use our wealth of resources to serve our spiritual community and the world.
Service:
We cultivate enlightened leadership by practicing the teachings of Jesus the Christ through sacred service. It is a blessing to serve locally and globally.
Integrity:
We consciously choose to practice living our Core Values and Unity Principles rather than simply professing them. We choose to communicate from the heart with authenticity and deliver on our commitments with reliability.
