Online Training Opportunities
Teacher Leadership Framework Training

April 7-22, 2020

In this online course, participants will attend seven online sessions to understand teacher leadership. Online materials and replicable activities will be provided as well as access to a Teacher Leadership Framework online toolkit.

Facilitating Virtual Collaboration

April 14-22, 2020

This series of three online sessions grounded in CSTP’s Teacher Leadership Framework is designed to adapt and grow educators’ adult learning, communication and collaboration knowledge, skills and dispositions to the virtual realm. Participants will learn about, reflect on, and participate in online activities and protocols they can replicate in their own collaborative contexts and virtual platforms. 

Partner with CSTP to Offer Clock Hours at Your Next Online Training
Are you running a course or book study online and want to offer Washington State clock hours? CSTP is an approved Washington State clock hour provider and can approve your courses for clock hours. It is free for the course instructor apply for the course and participants claiming clock hours pay a nominal fee.

Important Resources
The League of Education voters is hosting a free webinar with State Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal on March 19 at 12:30 PM, Pacific Time. With all Washington state schools closed until April 24 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Superintendent Reykdal will be addressing the current state of Washington schools and answering your questions.

The Washington State Professional Educator Standards Board has extended educator certificates expiring on June 30, 2020 to June 30, 2021. This one year extension of expiration dates applies to residency, professional, initial, and continuing certificates for all roles, including teacher, administrator, career and technical education (CTE), and all educational staff associate (ESA) roles.

Waivers Available to Allow for Seniors to Graduate in Washington State Amid COVID-19 Pandemic
The WA State Legislature has granted the State Board of Education the ability to issue emergency waivers to districts to allow on-track seniors to waive certain credits and graduate on-time.
