We encourage you to get the vaccine if it becomes available to you. Don’t forget we still need to wear our masks, keep our distance, and please continue to get tested! Even if you have received one or both vaccination doses, we want everyone to continue to get tested and follow COVID-19 safety protocols.
During these difficult times, please continue to remind students of the resources we have available, including SilverCloud, that offers self-guided programs for anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, and resilience. It is also free for faculty and staff. Learn more

By: University Advancement
Have you heard? Parkside Day is happening this Thursday, April 15th.
As we get ready for this day of giving, giving back, and Ranger spirit, we want to recognize how many people across campus are going above and beyond to make Parkside Day a success.
Special shout-outs to:
-
The award-winning UW-Parkside Library team, who just added another accolade: winners of the Ranger Run department challenge, with the most runners signed up along with Parkside Athletics Cross Country and Track & Field team who crossed the finish line first for the Ranger Run Team Challenge!
-
Parkside Employee Alumni Group, who have come out in full force to volunteer and show their Ranger pride
-
25 faculty/staff who are already signed up to volunteer on Parkside Day, and 37 who are competing in the Ranger Run
-
32 faculty/staff hosting alumni breakout sessions at the virtual Ranger Reunion
- Faculty/staff encouraging students to get involved – including faculty members offering extra credit for students who participate
- The faculty/staff who have made financial contributions for the Future Focus Fund, EDI initiatives, and other areas. We appreciate the MANY ways you give back!
-
Brendan Collins, Troy Wolfson, and Grace Scalzo – rockstar students working behind the scenes (and sometimes live on Insta) to promote and prepare for Parkside Day
Top 5 ways to get ready for Parkside Day
-
#3 Share a testimonial: Submit a 2-3 sentence written quote or a 20-30 second video testimonial sharing why Parkside Day is important or why you’re proud of UW-Parkside, to encourage alumni and other supporters to participate in Parkside Day. Email your typed testimonial to Linnéa Booher, or record a simple video message here.
-
#2 Post a #TBT photo: The UW-Parkside Foundation Board will donate $5 to the Future Focus Fund for every Parkside throwback photo posted in celebration of Parkside Day. Share your photo on social media using #ParksideDay, and don’t forget to tag alumni and other faculty/staff. Favorite colleagues, past gatherings, awkward campus ID pics… can’t wait to see them all.
-
#1 Gear up: Wear your Ranger gear on Thursday!
While you’re celebrating, you’re helping to spread the word about UW-Parkside and why others should support our mission of student success. Thank you for being part of this cause as we work to reach 500 donors and raise funds to benefit students.
Happy Parkside Day!
