Happy May 1st!
Today for the first time in a while, I am filled with hope and excitement. I am not sure why today felt different, maybe because it is May 1st. The first symbolizing a new start, or if it because of the Bloom Spirit that permeates our hearts and social media even without our beloved festival. Perhaps it is the recent news that some states are slowly starting to open.
But, today, for the first time after five weeks of self-isolation in the office, I felt comfortable enough to let staff member Karen Fried and her nephew William, into the office. Karen has been self-isolating in her Front Royal office and brought needed Under Contract riders to our Winchester store. Which reminds me of what I am most thankful for- the BRAR Members . That amid these strange times, our REALTORS® are still getting the job done! You have shown that no matter the circumstance, you "R" strong and resilient. You have pivoted among the many challenges and embraced new technology to have virtual meetings, showings, and open houses, and selling homes to make the spring market happen regardless!
I appreciate your understanding and cooperation for picking-up your purchases on the front porch and taking your CE online so that the BRAR staff could remain safe while being open for business during social distancing. Our commitment to our members is to be a continued resource for your real estate needs from shoe booties, masks, and online education.
I look forward to the time when our doors are again open to all. When the office is humming with the activity of members in our classroom and committee meetings, until then, May you be well, May you be safe, and May you thrive.
Take the weekend off to unplug from the news and enjoy the Bloom! It's everywhere; just look outside.
