Semester Final Assessments will take place the last school days in December. Students are expected to report to all classes for final exams. Any planned absences during finals must be scheduled in advance with Mr. Svare. Click HERE for more detailed information regarding the schedule in December.

If your student would like to participate in Girls retreat, please have them register HERE -- but read on for more details!

Girls Retreat will be held January 20th (9th and 10 graders) and January 21st (11th and 12th graders) at St. Ludmila Parish Center. The theme for the day is "Find Your Happy", and we will have guest speaker, Alisabeth Von Presley joining us as our keynote speaker!  The retreat will run from 8:45 am - 2:30 pm, so students will miss a day of school (and will be responsible for making up any work that you miss).  

The cost is $20, and includes lunch and a tshirt.  Lunch has not been decided yet, but communication will come out as soon as we have that nailed down!  You will need to pay your $20 at xavierhs.8to18.com, and your registration WILL NOT be complete until that payment has been made.  

Your donation will help families in our community be able to make Catholic education a reality; support the Xavier HS Teacher Endowment and to advance faith and academics at Xavier.

First semester non-public transportation reimbursement forms for the area school districts are due TOMORROW, December 1st. Click the district in which you live to find the form you need to submit.

Remember, Cedar Rapids school district forms need to be turned into the Xavier main office by 4pm, all others should be mailed to the corresponding school district before December 1st.

Requests for schedule changes for Semester 2 schedules will take place December 6th-9th in the Student Services office. Staff will be available to help before school, after school, and during Xcel. Please check your students Semester 2 schedules (via the students PowerSchool App) and ask for recommendations from current teachers regarding any level changes at semester. Some classes may be full, so it is important to have your student address this early with their school counselors who will do their best to accommodate requests.

The Annual Battle of 42nd Street Blood Drive will be held on Monday, December 6 and Tuesday, December 7 from 2pm-6pm at the Oakland Church of the Nazarene. Sign up here:

While we have most of the roles covered for 2022 (Volunteer/Publicity, Games, Registration, and Food), we are still in need of Post Prom Co-Chairs (2) and Prize Chairs (2).

This Fall Xavier Booster Club has raised over $23,000 in concessions due to the tremendous support of XBC Concessions Chairs Kim Loffswold, Justine Kadlec and parents from Band, Boy's Tennis, Volleyball, Girl's CC, and Wrestling! All of the profits from concessions is allocated directly to the 40+ activities that Xavier Booster Club supports. 

Help in concessions is still needed for December. Activities that will volunteer for concessions include: Football, Boys Cross Country, Girls Track, Boys Track, Boys Golf, Drama, and Volleyball. If your student participates in these activities please review the sign up for volunteer spots. All parents and volunteers are welcome regardless of activity to volunteer. Many hands make light work.
