Dear Friends,
I join with the CDC, Governor Hogan, Prince George's County officials and other experts to urge each of us to stay home as much as possible. If you must go out, please practice social distancing and stay six feet away from other people. COVID-19 is highly contagious and very dangerous for older adults and vulnerable members of our community. Please stay home.

You may have recently received a postcard mailing from my office including information abou
t the Census, important phone numbers, and the invitation to my annual District 3 Town Hall and Resource Fair.
Unfortunately, this mailing was printed and at the post office prior to a full understanding of this pandemic. I do plan to host an online or phone-in Town Hall on Thursday, April 2. I hope to reschedule the Resource Fair for the fall. Please watch this email newsletter and my social media for additional details about participating in the Town Hall soon.
Today the County Council met in a partially virtual session. Several Council Members where there in person, with additional spacing in between us. Several Council Members joined via Skype. Very limited Council staff attended
in person and they also maintained larger-than-usual distances between each other. The public meeting was streamed live on our Council website. All other Council meetings for this week have been cancelled. The Council today voted on emergency legislation to allow our work to continue with modifications.
