Stallions in the Spotlight
Congratulations to Maya Steiger who was recognized as a Student of the Month last month by the Westerville Rotary Club for her commitment to service.
Thank you to all who joined our school's efforts in helping the homeless served by Holy Family Church. This year the Class of 2022 donated snacks, toiletries, and personal care items to fill over 200 "Blessing Bags" and through our most recent candle collection, we donated hundreds of new and used candles. Plus, Mrs. Gattis, Mrs. Evans, and junior Hope Hinger made nearly 100 candles using recycled yogurt jars and poured wax.
In the spirit of March Madness, Student Council organized a Pop-A-Shot Tournament last week during lunch periods. A shoutout to the purple group and white group winners: Alex Cross, Niko Kreuzer, MJ Davis, Enoch Oye, and Sam Marchio.
Congratulations to the following SFD students who competed in the Ohio National History Day 2021 Region 6 competition. This year's theme is Communication in History: The Key to Understanding. Congratulations to the following medal winners and state qualifiers. The State Competition will be held in April.

Thanks to You - Our Wishes Came True!

Our alumni, parents and parents of alumni came up big for our teams and clubs. The inaugural Stallion WishBook, held March 1st to 14th, was a tremendous success! With so many challenges in the last year for our students, we are blessed to have your support. In just two weeks, over 400 gestures of kindness were offered to our co-curricular programs.

Below are some of the awesome achievements which will benefit our students:
  • 22 programs received donation support totaling over $40,000.
  • 17 of our club programs received donation support.
  • The SFD Marching Band fully funded the purchase of new rain coats to replace their tired coats they wore for almost twenty years.
  • The SFD Football program funded the purchase of new equipment, including pop-up blocking and tackling dummies.
  • Girls Lacrosse received funding support from 31 individuals.
  • Boys Lacrosse funded new shooting shirts.
  • Boys Soccer funded four different uniform projects.
  • Girls Soccer funded all of their requests, including equipment and new game shelters.
  • Softball received generous support and new infield tarps.

Some of our supporters have shared that they may have missed out on the chance to help our students in their co-curricular pursuits. If you would like to help, you can still do so by clicking here. Write WishBook and the program you want to support in the comment section. You can also email jewett@desales.co with any questions. Thank you for your generosity!

We are gearing up for the Sophomore Retreats! This year all of the girls will go on March 30th and all of the boys will go on March 31st. Be sure to turn in the two required forms: Sophomore Retreat Diocesan Waiver and the Diocesan Permission Form.

Students should be dropped off at the South entrance of school to check in before going into the gym. They will not go to their 1st period.

Building on the Freshman Retreat (Knowing Who You Are In Christ), the Sophomore Retreat is on LOVE. Jesus declared, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

Spiritual Reflection
God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the healing power of your Son was made manifest through signs and wonders during his earthly ministry. Open our eyes to the ways of grace at work among us in these Lenten days. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
