As the State of Florida begins to reopen, the safety of our scouts and volunteers remains our top priority. We will continue to follow guidance from the CDC, Florida Department of Health, and our local governments.

Although, we are still encouraging virtual scouting meetings and activities, we will be easing some restrictions for those scouts wanting to resume in person meetings, effective immediately.

  1. Meetings and outings that take place in-person must be approved by your chartering organization.
  2. Meetings and activities must  follow social distancing guidelines.
  3. The decision to meet in-person should take into account family comfort, meeting in wide-open areas, requiring masks indoors, temperature and symptom checks, and allow for virtual attendance, when possible.
  4. At-risk groups and individuals should refrain from in-person activities and participate virtually.
We ask that if you are experiencing any type of medical symptoms that you do not attend a scouting event. Please make sure to practice good hygiene and social distancing while at a scouting event.

Tanah Keeta Scout Reservation will proceed with summer camp opportunities in July. All Day Camp events and Day Camper options have been canceled.

Tanah Keeta Scout Reservation and Camp Oklawaha will be available for unit/family camping opportunities effective immediately. Please contact Camping Director Alec Connolly at [email protected] for more information.

We appreciate your patience and passion as we work to continue to offer scouting programs virtually. We will continue to offer online program for the foreseeable future.

Yours in Scouting,
