Trunk or Treat

Wednesday, October 28, 6-8pm

Did you know that Trunk or Treat 2020 is happening, but it can't happen without YOU!

This year it will look different, but we still want to offer, not only our church family but also our community, this opportunity to come together for some safe, silly fun.

So what do we need from you?

To make sure we are as safe as possible with COVID 19 restrictions, we are asking for cash donations and 13 people to be a part of the trunks.  We will also NEED volunteers to help facilitate this community outreach.  Signup sheets will be in the Narthex starting in October.

Time: 6:00-8:00pm for community.
Volunteers, please arrive an hour early at 5pm.

  • Hunts pasta sauce
  • Hearty soups
  • Tuna
  • Canned chicken
  • Oatmeal (small canisters)
  • Mac and cheese
  • Canned chili
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jam
  • 1lb bags of rice
Donations can be placed in the marked bin in the Narthex. Thank you for your faithfulness in feeding our hungry friends.
Need Assistance?

If you or anyone you know is in need of food Aledo UMC has Manna bags ready to go.  Hours to pick up a bag of canned goods are Tuesdays and Thursdays, noon-3:00pm, in the Narthex. If you live in Parker County and are needing help on a utility bill, please email info@aledoumc.org or call 817-441-8329.
Electronic Giving

As we move into virtual worship and other gatherings for the foreseeable future, now is a great time to connect with online giving to ensure that the ministries and outreach of the church are not interrupted.
There are two basic ways to give electronically, and both are quick and simple.
  1. The best option is to give via a direct transfer from your checking account. This is fee-free for you and the church. Simply fill out the accompanying ACH form and send it in to the church office along with a voided check. You can mail it to Aledo UMC, PO Box 126, Aledo, TX 76008.
  2. Or you can text "aledoumc" to 77977. This will connect you to a service called PushPay, which will allow you to give electronically to the church using either a credit card or debit card. You will receive a text back with instructions guiding you through setting up your gift. You can give either a one-time gift or set up weekly or monthly giving through PushPay.
