Breathe in, breathe out, and Welcome Fall with a thank you to your lungs for doing a lot of heavy lifting. The lungs are one of our body’s largest organs, working around the clock to oxygenate our cells and organs while releasing deadly carbon dioxide waste.
The season of fall is governed by the lungs and their regulation of our skin, nose, hair, and large intestine health. Fall is the season of movement and change as we transition from the extremes of summer to the extremes of winter. Although we may not see blizzards and sub-zero temps in Florida, we do get our share of winter colds and winter blues.
In Chinese Medicine, the lungs are also associated with the emotion of grief. Our spirit is believed by many cultures to be housed in the chest, the home of the lungs. When our spirit is heavy due to grief and sadness, our chest, the home of the lungs, feels physically heavy.
This month take time to release some of the grief and emotional weight you may be holding inside and allow your lungs and immune system to get ready for the winter ahead.
In this newsletter we talk lung health, the benefits of lymphatic massage are explained (we know you’ll want to schedule one!), and we share some great news about insurance and birthdays!
Hope you find information and resources in this newsletter that will guide you on your path to Happiness Goodness and Wellness throughout the month.
To Your Health,
Andrea
