Teenagers in Grades 8-12 are invited to participate in a multi-faceted ministry at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church. You're encouraged to join Youth Director Rick Belbutoski and other adult leaders for a variety of ministries, events, and ways to serve your neighbor in the name of Jesus Christ.
Hello Hennepin Youth and Families,

In a time that is filled with anxiety for many, Hennepin Ave. staff is working hard to insure that people are still able to connect meaningfully with their faith community. Connecting with community is especially important for youth too. This Sunday, we'll have to two Zoom calls that allow youth to connect with their peers, and there are going to be more resources and opportunities to connect available from Hennepin in the coming days.

Schedule for Sunday March 29
9:00 am - Confirmation - Made in the Image of God - Zoom
10:00 am - Sanctuary Service live stream
5:00 pm - Youth Group - Zoom Call

Postponed Events

This week I reached out to our ministry partners for the upcoming Youth Lead Conference which was originally scheduled for April 25. This event has been postponed, and we are hoping to see it rescheduled in the fall.

The Confirmation Spring Retreat which was originally scheduled for May 9th has also been postponed.

If you have any questions or comments please let me know.
Mission Trip Update

I have been in contact with Door Network, our ministry partners for the 2020 mission trip to Chicago. They have informed me that they will not be making a decision regarding this summers' trips until the eight weeks the CDC is recommending for social distancing has been completed.

It is my hope and prayer that we will be able to serve the people of Chicago and educate ourselves on what it means to seek justice for God's people, just as we've planned. I recognize this may not be possible, and I will continue to share updates on the status of the trip as I receive them.

It only takes a deposit of $100 to register, and youth and friends who sign up by March 31 can take $50 off the total price of the trip. ($325) Youth can  sign up to participate until may 10 as long as space allows. and May 10 is $375.

If you have additional questions about scholarship opportunities or any other topic, please email or ask me, Rick, in person. rick@haumc.org. Register for the trip by going to
