Put A Little Hope In Your Pocket: Denim Day 2020

This year, Center for Community Solutions asked people to participate in our virtual Denim Day campaign, Put a Little Hope in Your Pocket, by submitting decorated denim pockets. We are thrilled to announce that over 50 individuals submitted a denim pocket to show their support to survivors. COVID-19 Organizational Update

In accordance with national and local public health guidance surrounding COVID-19,

Center for Community Solutions has extended our modified service plan through May 31, 2020. The health and well-being of our staff, clients, and the community are our highest priority during this developing public health issue. Our shelters and hotline will remain operating at full capacity, and CCS staff will continue utilizing virtual methods of communication to provide client services.

Wit h the new challenges that come with operating during the COVID-19 c risi s, w e're thankful for the ongoing support from Marriott Daughters Foundation. The Foundation recently responded to CCS' request for extra support this year to assist with the increased costs of operating our shelters, the higher costs of IT support so that we can deliver programming remotely, and other COVID-19 related funding challeng es. Thank you, Marriott Daughters Foundation, for continuing to believe in our mission.

Thank you to Nordson Corporation Foundation for once again supporting CCS' Child Abuse Treatment Program. The $5,000 contribution will provide direct support to child survivors of abuse, eliminating barriers to critical therapeutic interventions and providing basic necessities required by children in crisis.

We are grateful to longtime corporate partner Cool-jams , whose recent campaign to benefit CCS raised $2,600 to support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. These funds will provide much-needed supplies for clients staying at our shelters. Thank you, Cool-jams!
