Celebrating 20 Years of Supporting the Community!

Milestones began 20 years ago when Ilana Hoffer Skoff and Mia Buchwald Gelles met in their children's speech therapist's waiting room. Their search for resources for their own children led to the founding of Milestones. Today Milestones is a trusted local and national resource and thought leader. We reach thousands of families and professionals throughout Northeast Ohio with our services, and as a national leader in autism education through our annual conference and our new Milestones Autism Planning (MAP) tool.

Be a part of the Milestones story!

Share your Milestones Moment to include in our 20th Anniversary Celebration.

Has Milestones impacted your life in an unforgettable way? Were you inspired to volunteer? Share our services with a friend? Do you have a favorite Milestones Moment? Email your remarks to azmckenzie@milestones.org and we may include them in our benefit video.

IEPs, 504s, Assessments, Oh My!

The MAP can help you prepare this fall.

Fall is often IEP and 504 season, which can be a stressful time as individuals and families work to identify their needs and seek support. The Education section of the Milestones Autism Planning (MAP) Tool features an easy to understand description of the education plan process, and outlines the differences between IEPs and 504 plans. Explore articles in the age range you need.
