What You Need to Know to Stay Healthy
The U.S. is beginning to experience more cases of the novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19. More than 90,000 cases have been reported worldwide to date. Fortunately, most cases have involved mild symptoms and recovery without special medical treatment.

People with underlying medical conditions including chronic lung diseases (like asthma and COPD) are more likely to suffer severe effects of the illness. While we are still learning about effects of COVID-19 in the U.S., we encourage everyone to stay aware, informed and prepared. 

There are a number of basic steps you can take to prevent infection and further spread of COVID-19. We suggest the following to reduce your risk:
Additionally, we recommend you get a flu shot if you have not already. While a flu shot won’t protect against COVID-19, it can help you avoid the flu so your immune system is better able to cope with other illnesses.

For those living with chronic lung diseases like COPD, it’s important to also keep a 30-day supply of regular prescriptions on hand as a precaution.
