The U.S. is beginning to experience more cases of the novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19. More than 90,000 cases have been reported worldwide to date. Fortunately, most cases have involved mild symptoms and recovery without special medical treatment.
People with underlying medical conditions including chronic lung diseases (like asthma and COPD) are more likely to suffer severe effects of the illness. While we are still learning about effects of COVID-19 in the U.S., we encourage everyone to stay aware, informed and prepared.
