View a video clip of the performance here. On March 17, you will receive two links; a vimeo link to the 70-minute show and a Zoom link to the live, 20-minute Q&A with the actor after the show. At 7:oopm on Friday, March 19, start with the vimeo link to see the show and then continue on with the Zoom link when the show is over.
Candidate Forums
There are only four forums left before the April 6 Municipal Election. Early voting starts on March 10 at local courthouses and on March 22 at the Oak Park Village Hall. The attendance for these virtual forums has been great with additional people viewing them afterward. We are so thankful for our partnership with the Oak Park and River Forest Libraries. What partners they have been! Go here to see the schedule for the remaining forums, submit questions, and view recorded forums.
America Goes to the Polls
The 7th edition of the biennial report series "America Goes to the Polls!" was
created in collaboration between Nonprofit VOTE and the U.S. Elections Project. This research report digs deep into data supplied by all 50 states, to not only rank them by their official voter turnout numbers, but also examine how policies like Same Day Registration and Vote at Home, which many states expanded in light of the pandemic, made an impact on the U.S. electorate. Learn more about the report from the team, including the U.S. Elections Project founder Dr. Michael McDonald, as we aim to paint a general picture of various election policies, explaining what they are and what their effect may be on future cycles. RSVP here for the March 11 "America Goes to the Polls: A 50-State Breakdown of Voter Turnout in 2020'" webinar.
Day Of Webinar, March 11: It's not too late! Same day sign up here.
Step Up!
Membership Recording Position Open: This is an opportunity for a member to get involved and learn more about our League. The largest part of the work is in June, July, and August, then winds down in September, although membership requests do come in during the year. Responsibilities include entering membership and dues information on spreadsheets and interfacing with the Membership Development chair. Training will be included, and there is an hourly stipend available. For more information, please contact Joan Petertil.

The Observer Program is structured to ensure that processes and decisions made by public entities are made in the open. Trained League observers attend meetings, note what happens, and then report back to their community through the local League. We need a chairperson for this committee and observers for our local governmental agencies. Right now, you can do this virtually. Interested? Read more about this opportunity at Oak Park/River Forest Observer Corps Members-past or present.
