School News You Can Use

Three things you need to know: Monday, March 29th is a REMOTE synchronous 78 day. Students should attend periods 1-6, during their regularly scheduled time via their teacher's remote class link. Tuesday, March 30th - Thursday, April 1st: Group A (red) will attend AM classes and Group B (gray) will attend PM classes. Friday, April 2nd is a No School day. COVID testing will continue this week for all students attending in-person classes and/or extracurricular activities. Students quarantining after spring break travel are encouraged to attend COVID testing on Friday, April 2.

Message from the Principal

Dear DHS Staff, Students, and Families, Welcome back! I hope that you had an enjoyable Spring Break! Tomorrow, we jump right back into things, as we return for the final quarter of the school year. Recall, this week, we will maintain the half-day hybrid schedule. Due to the 4-day school week, we will start with a 78 day - but the day will still be remote. The subsequent school days will follow our typical cycle day schedule. Details about our transition to the full-day learning model, particularly a start date, will be shared with families after tomorrow night's Board of Education meeting. COVID Testing

COVID Testing - Friday, April 2nd at DHS Regular testing for students engaging in in-person classes and/or extracurricular activities resumes tomorrow. Students are still required to be tested twice a week.  With that said, since Friday, April 2nd is a non-attendance day, it will be optional for students who typically test on Tuesday and Friday. Open COVID testing hours on Friday, April 2nd The CDC recommends that individuals traveling receive a COVID-19 test 5-7 days after travel. Therefore, the COVID testing center will have open hours for any individuals (students and staff) that would like to receive a COVID-19 test on Friday, April 2nd. The COVID testing center will be open from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM - no appointment needed.
