Celebrate Classical Music in September!
All this month we're listening to classical music.

State of the Arts producer Eric Schultz profiled pianist Simone Dinnerstein back in 2008, shortly after her groundbreaking recording of J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Classical Chart. The surprise success of her self-produced CD launched her international career. The feature was filmed at Dinnerstein’s home in Brooklyn with her family, and at SOPAC, the South Orange Performing Arts Center.
Your gift helps State of the Arts spotlight the most creative people in New Jersey and beyond. Thank you!

At the historic glass factory at WheatonArts, deep in the South Jersey pinelands, glassblowers have worked for over a hundred years. But today, artists at Wheaton are creating contemporary art using glass in unexpected and often marvelous ways. This CINE Award-winning State of the Arts special explores the world of the Creative Glass Center of America at WheatonArts in Millville, NJ, where fellowship artists live and work together as they pursue their creative visions. The fellowship artists featured are Charlotte Potter, Rika Hawes, and Kim Harty. Also interviewed is Hank Murta Adams, former director of the program.

What to Watch
The impact of the coronavirus on the arts in New Jersey is severe. As the pandemic stretches on, income is being lost by artists and workers of all kinds in the cultural arena.

Think of how else you can support your favorite artists and venues! Perhaps make some plans for the future, or consider donating your refunded ticket prices to NJ's arts organizations.

In the meantime, we'll be sharing some great stories for you to enjoy from home.
