TELESCHOOL/DIGITAL LEARNING WEEK OF MAY 11 - 15TELESCHOOL3
REMINDERS FOR PARENTS & STUDENTS
Friday was the last day of instruction on "new" content and in many ways represents the formal transition to the "winding down" of the school year. This week we will focus on assisting students with the completion of unfinished work and motivating them to resolve any outstanding incomplete assignments.
  • While there are days that are focused on specific subjects (see above schedule), please know that students can be accessing other subjects during the day.  Please use the INSTRUCTIONAL PLAN (see below) for the upcoming week to see what your student can be practicing outside of the focused subject.
  • Ensure your student is checking in with their teacher during this period of TeleSchool. Teachers that do not hear from students for an extended period of time may receive an incomplete when we close spring semester.
  • Please be respectful of our teachers time, they are available during the instructional day from 8:00AM until 4:00PM MONDAY through FRIDAY. Please utilize that window of time to contact the teacher.
WEEK OF MAY 11-15 INSTRUCTIONAL PLANS

STUDENTS WITH MEDS IN SCHOOL CLINICMEDS
As the end of the school year draws near, we are preparing to return to students all medications and health supplies which have been stored in the clinics. This year, amid COVID-19 concerns, we are altering our procedure to ensure we adhere to CDC and Public Health guidance to aid in promoting everyone's health and safety.
Milton has scheduled pickup days for student's medications or health supplies on the following days:
Thursday  May 14, 2020 from 10:00AM until 1:00PM
Please come through the carpool lane in front of the school building. Please do not leave your car, state your child's full name and the Clinic Assistant or Cluster Nurse will bring the medication(s) to your car. If you have any questions, please email Stormi Wooten at  wootens@fultonschools.org
CLOSING OUT LUNCH ACCOUNTSLUNCH
Pre-paid balances will follow the students to their next Fulton County School, so there is no need for refunds to be issued if the child is staying within Fulton County. Students with a remaining balance at the end of the year, who wish to withdraw these remaining funds, have one option this year. Students/Parents may receive a refund by contacting the school nutrition department after May 22, 2020 using the student refund form.
If you have any questions, please email Melissa Schott at schottm@fultonschools.org
TAG INFORMATIONTAGINFO
If your TAG student is in need of a semester elective or year long elective, consider Directed Study. The Gifted Directed Study, an elective course for gifted students, provides for carefully designed research experiences for individual TAG students under the supervision of a TAG teacher. The course is designed to encourage the development of the whole student as a researcher and problem solver.
In collaboration with a TAG teacher, the student defines and schedules the directed study by contract.
  • Meets daily
  • Elective credit (number grade) received
  • Facilitated by a teacher
  • For students who are mature and self-directed

To participate in Directed Study, students must complete the DS application found here: https://denneyr.wixsite.com/miltontag/directed-study  and email completed application to Mrs. Denney at denneyr@fultonschools.org.
