A MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL MARSICH
May 12, 2020

Dear Dorchester Parents,

I hope that you and your families are continuing to stay healthy and safe. I know that some students took their belongings with them from school in March on our last day before the closure; but that for others, many items remain in their cubbies, desks, and lockers. We are currently making plans so that parents can stop by for curbside, contactless pickup of their children's belongings if they so choose. However, some parents may not want the papers, crayons, and other odds and ends that were left behind.

Please understand that due to the volume of items we will be preparing for pickup, we cannot accommodate requests from parents to retrieve only some items (i.e. just a coat or pencil case). Parents will be permitted to either pick up a bag of all of their children's belongings or to request that we recycle/dispose of all of the items. Additionally, for the safety of our entire community, parents and children will not be permitted to enter the school building for any reason.

Please complete this form by Friday, May 15, indicating whether you would like to pick up your child's belongings from Dorchester or if you would like our staff to recycle/dispose of them: Dorchester Student Belongings Survey . If you have more than one child, please complete the form separately for each child.

I will be in touch soon with more information about pick up dates and procedures.

Sincerely,

Stefanie Marsich
