It was great to talk and see everyone's smiles.
Stewardship
Thank you so much for your generous support of our parish and its mission. Many of you increased your pledge for 2022, and many of you are giving sacrificially. The vestry and I are grateful for your gifts of love and support, and for your faith in what God is doing at St. Martin's. Please contiue to pray for the parish and the leadership of St. Martin's as we discern God's call for us. May God continue to bless you all.

Faithfully,
Father Rob+
St. Martin's is
"Adopting" a Family
Marlene Fisczko was contacted by HOME (formerly IHN) regarding a family who lost EVERYTHING in Hurricane Ida. This family is in dire need of everything. The father is currently trying to fix the house while still working. The mom is taking care of her two children. Next Sunday there will be an Angel Tree placed in the undercroft with cards you can choose for the specific needs of each of the family members. Let's make a difference in this family's future!

On December 19th, we will be having a pasta dinner where we will be wrapping all the gifts for the family and writing Christmas cards.
Outreach
We will be collecting used coats on November 21st during church until 1:30 p.m. They may be left in the coat closet, off the narthex, until the 21st. Outreach volunteers will be in the parking lot, across from the front doors, until 1:30 on the 21st should you forget to bring your donation to Sunday services. All sizes of gently used coats and jackets are welcome. Thank you.
Adult Forum
We will gather in the Lady Chapel from 9:30-10:00 am
November 21 - This week we will be exploring Lectio Divina, which is a contemplative method of reading Scripture. We will continue to practice Lectio Divina in the adult forum during the Sundays of Advent. Come join us in the Lady Chapel at 9:30 am.
November 28 - Praying in Color (Creative Prayer)
Thursdays This Fall
St. Martin's and St. John's Somerville are co-sponsoring a new course designed by the Episcopal Church to address the problem of racism in our society. This course will involve reading selected works and watching short video clips from a diverse segment of people all talking about their experience of racism. We will also be engaged in honest, prayerful, and respectful discussions. All are welcome, but you are asked to pre-register by sending Father Rob an email indicating you would like to join the class. Blessings to you all.
