In The Wake of the Week

Join me, my staff, the San Jose Police Department and the San Jose Fire Department as we celebrate National Night Out! On Tuesday, August 2nd at 6PM, I will be hosting a community National Night Out event at Cataldi ParkCome out for a night of family fun that will include a free ice cream social, bike safety info and a free helmet giveaway, RAFT STEM activities and freebies, live entertainment, games, activities and more!

Public safety is about getting to know your community and building stronger relationships. I believe that getting to know your City staff and those responsible for our public safety, such as the police officers and fire fighters in our district, is very important. The closer we are as a community, the safer we'll all be and events like these are instrumental in establishing that familiarity.

Neighborhoods across our city will be joining over 38 million people and 16 thousand communities in celebrating National Night Out. If you're interested in hosting a future National Night Out event in the district, please reach out to my office for assistance in organizing or promoting. We can also assist with resources and staff. I hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
