City Council adopts Parks & Rec master plan including skate park, lake amenities, and more
The future of Cleburne parks could include a skate park, dog park, and more as outlined in the recently approved Parks & Recreation master plan.

The City Council adopted the Parks, Recreation, Trails & Open Space Master Plan at the April 27 meeting. The plan provides an outline for the future of Cleburne’s parks and recreation amenities and facilities.

"This plan includes many features people have been asking for, a skate park, dog park, amenities at Lake Pat, and I am eager for us to get started making this vision a reality,” Mayor Scott Cain said. “I want to thank everyone who participated in this process, with your help we have a plan that is true to Cleburne."

New businesses and homes sum up the April 2021 economic development quarterly update. Several new businesses are have come to Cleburne including Super Garcia Meat Market, Aldi, 7-Eleven, and more.

Cinco De Mayo Celebration returns to Hulen Park on May 1
Cinco De Mayo celebrations return from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, at Hulen Park.

Festivities include vendors & antojitos mexicanos, Ballet Folklorico, APW Wrestling, dancing horse show, live music throughout the day, and more. New this year are a free Kids Zone. Bring your lawn chairs and coolers; BYOB after 1 p.m. The event is free to the public.

Downtown Cleburne Farmers Market kicks off this Sunday, 5/2
The City of Cleburne is hosting a weekly farmers market starting this Sunday, May 2, at Market Square.

Come shop from local vendors for farm fresh produce and meat, baked goods and snacks, arts, crafts, and more. Vendors can also apply to participate.
