Governor Cuomo has just announced that effective February 14, 2021, restaurants in New York City may reopen for indoor dining, with capacity limited to 25%.
While no specific guidance has yet been issued, we expect that the dining restrictions in place for other “Yellow” cluster zones will apply to New York City – specifically, a 4 person maximum per table and 10:00 PM closure for on-premises dining.
Restaurants should also anticipate that the health and safety requirements in place for indoor dining in New York City prior to indoor dining being shuttered in December 2020 will remain in place, including those pertaining to capacity signage, table spacing and physical barrier requirements, mandated customer health and temperature screening, and contact information collection requirements.
