Construction -- and the related closure of -- Milton's Sweet Apple Road has been pushed back until next week due to weather.
The road had initially been set to close between March 3 through March 6 as workers install a new gas main. But that plan has been pushed back due to this week's rain.
Weather permitting, the new plan is to start construction on Monday, March 9.
The entirety of the road -- from Arnold Mill Road/State Route 140 to Ebenezer Road -- will be shut down to traffic during the construction. The closure should last four days and run between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., meaning the road should be accessible at night.
A contractor for Atlanta Gas Light will be installing the gas main.
