Register Your Kids Today!

Don't forget to register your kids for Kids Ministry.  Use the link below to share your child's name, address, school, grade, etc.  Also, using the registration below you can tell us if your child/ren plan to attend Sunday School, music groups, nursery, or The Bridge.  

Fall Sunday School Begins September 11!

3rd Grade Bibles

Our 3rd grade students are invited to receive a Bible from NRUMC on September 11, 2022.  Each child will receive their Bible in the service your family normally attends.  If you have not done so already, please send Gretchen your child's full name - as you would like it printed in their Bible - and the service time you will attend on September 11.

Children Serving in Worship

We have several ways our children can serve in the worship services at NRUMC.  

At all three services children can read scripture and usher.  At the 8:30 and 11:15 services, children can acolyte through the end of September when the confirmands take over.  At the 11:15 service, children can ring the bell for the Chiming of the Trinity.  Use the appropriate links to sign your child up to lead in worship!  Training is provided for these service areas.  Contact Gretchen to schedule a time for training that works for your child. 

Children's Music Returns!

We are excited to announce the return of our children's vocal and bell choirs. Beginning September 11 at 3:00 p.m. we will have two vocal choirs for K - 2nd and 3rd - 5th grades, our Bell Plates choir for K - 2nd and our chimes choir for 3rd - 5th grades. Choir practice will end at 4:00 p.m.  Parents will be given rehearsal and worship schedules following the first practice on September 11. You can register your child/ren for our music groups through our Kids Ministry Registration Form.  

Children's Choir Music

We are so thrilled to be bringing back Children's Choir this year.  We have two events already scheduled for our Children's Choir on September 18 and September 21.  Below are the two pieces that we will be practicing as well as youtube links to help you at home.  We will sing the 1st and 4th verse of Make Me a Channel of Your Peace at the 11:15 a.m. service on September 18th.  We will sign both pieces at the Service for Peace on September 21st at 7:00 p.m.  Please reach out to James, our Music Minister or Gretchen with any questions

Family Service Project- Meal Packaging

On September 10 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m., we will hold a meal packaging event with Rise Against Hunger. One of the great things about this project is that our youngest and oldest family members can all participate together! Click below to help!

We will be packaging 15,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger. After this event North Raleigh UMC will have packaged 130,000 total meals as a church!

Volunteer Corner

Kids Ministry is always in need of wonderful volunteers to share the love of God with our children. You do not need to be an expert on the Bible or on children and their behavior. You only need to be willing to serve, to laugh , and to love as God loves! This fall we need Sunday school teachers, Sunday school assistants, music ministry assistants, and volunteers for special events. Job descriptions are available for all areas of service. Contact Gretchen to learn more!
