NEASE 2020-2021 PARKING UPDATE
Thank you to the students who submitted a parking application by the April 15 th deadline for the 2020-2021 School Year. We wish we could accommodate every student that applied for a parking tag, unfortunately we have limited parking available on campus. All parking applications that were submitted by the April 15 th deadline have been reviewed. Tags were awarded to every senior that applied (excluding twins) and some juniors. We will hold the applications and will complete a second round of awarding 100 parking tags after July 12th. Due to Covid-19, we had many juniors who were planning on taking Dual Enrollment but have been unable to take qualifying tests. After we ensure everyone who needs to drive to school can, we will then randomly select remaining juniors off the application list.

Due to Covid-19, we are only accepting payments through the SchoolPay payment link.  Payments must be received by the May 15, 2020 deadline or the parking tag will be forfeited to someone on the waiting list. ONLY students who were selected will have access to use the link to pay. Parking tags are non-transferable and non-refundable.

If you have any parking questions, please check out our most frequently asked questions on the Nease website: https://www-nhs.stjohns.k12.fl.us/parking/

Message from College Board – SAT Update

College Board is working to ensure that students will have opportunities to take the SAT ®  to make up for this spring’s lost administrations.  They have added a new SAT administration for Saturday, September 26, 2020.  This date will be for the SAT only, in the United States and internationally, with no SAT Subject Tests™ available. Sunday testing for religious reasons will be on September 27.
Registration for the 2020-21 SAT administrations will open the week of May 26. At that point, June registrants will be able to transfer their seat to a 2020-21 administration. All other students in the high school class of 2021 who don't have SAT scores will also have early access to register for the August, September, and October administrations. This includes students who had registered for March or May and had their registrations canceled and refunded. For each administration this year, we're also preparing to significantly expand our capacity.
Our top priorities are the health and safety of students and educators. Please note we'll only move forward with the administrations if it's safe to do so from a public health standpoint.
If you have questions, call Customer Service at 866-756-7346 (domestic) or +1-212-713-7789 (international). We'll also regularly update our  webpage  with information.

FREE MICROSOFT OFFICE
All our students have access to the web version of Microsoft Office following these simple steps:
1.   Using Chrome or Firefox, go to our Nease website and click on “Links for Students”
2.   Click on the “Microsoft Office 365” icon and sign in with your username and password.
3.   Once the app is open, students have access to Outlook (email) and all Office products (Word, Excel, PPT, Publisher, etc)
4.    NOTE : You cannot be logged into Microsoft Office 365 and Schoology at the same time. It causes conflict.
5.   As students of St. Johns County, you are also able to download all the office products directly to your computer without having to depend on using the web app. Students may download these products on up to 5 devices. Click on this link for your FREE download. https://www.stjohns.k12.fl.us/advantage/

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY HEROES!
We are so proud to share some stories and pictures of National Honor Society members that stepped up to help our local essential workers in our community. We put out a call to our members to help make face masks to donate to our local Publix stores and to the youth homeless shelter “Port in the Storm”. In true Panther form, they stepped up to the challenge! A HUGE thank you to Megan Knuppel, Emily Maglin, and Kayla Booth for hand-making 60+ face masks and donating them where they were needed most. And newly-elected Vice-President Izabela Zmirska, spear-headed a food collection effort with her organization “Doorsteps to Donations” to collect food donations from nearby neighborhoods, to drop off at our local homeless shelter in St. Augustine – The St. Francis House. Thank you to Izabela Zmirska, Lynn Larry, Cristina Evans, Thanmai Posina, Spencer Forsling, Naïla Etique, and Michael Winczner for your kindness and efforts to help those that need our help.

Please join me in celebrating and applauding the efforts of our Panthers who care about their community!
