Danbury Food Pantry Plea - Funds Desperately Needed!

TBC Social Action Committee just donated $1000 of your  Tzedakah  funds donations to the pantry. We now need to replenish those funds. People will need our help for a very long time!

Last week 240 people (4 times more than usual) came to the pantry to pick up food.

TBC assists Our Daily Bread, the Danbury Food Pantry, which welcomes hungry families, whatever their circumstances. Keeping the shelves stocked at this time is a daunting task.
Given the current situation, the need is growing exponentially!! Food drives are obviously not feasible now. A financial donation or if you're able- volunteering at the pantry, are the best possible ways to assist.

The community needs YOUR Help!! No donation is too small!!! There are 2 ways to donate. Click here to donate to our Tzedakah Fund or send your donation directly to: Daily Bread Food Pantry 25 West Street Danbury, CT 06810

Volunteer Food distribution help is needed:   Mondays: 11:00 - 3:00, Fridays: 8:00 - 12:00

If you feel that you could volunteer- contact Peggy [email protected] to be added to the on-call list. Someone will call to let you know when they need help.
Next Mussar Meeting Wednesday, April 22, via Zoom

From Ria Miller: We will be covering another 5-6 character traits in the same way we did in the last meeting. I will present a page of highlights of the trait from the text and we can then have a discussion following the reading of the notes I took on the trait.  We will be covering the following traits so please try to read up on these in the book Everyday Holiness:

Simplicity - Silence - Truth - Loving Kindness - Responsibility
And if extra time, Trust.
Yahrzeit Memorial Plaques at TBC

As the secular year begins, we know that many of us are thinking of loved ones who have passed away, and we invite you to use this moment of transition, of remembering and looking forward, to commemorate the lives and blessings of your loved ones with a memorial plaque. Please see this announcement from Rabbi Bearman and President Baulsir for more information .

Additionally, we would like to invite the entire community to a SPECIAL SERVICE OF DEDICATION on MAY 15, 2020. If you have any questions, please call TBC's main office (203-544-8695). We would be happy to help you in any way that we can.
