It's time for Commencement!
The university-wide Virtual Ceremony and Virtual School Receptions will be a time for graduates, their friends and families, faculty and staff to gather online to celebrate the graduates.  They will be broadcast on the Commencement website.

University-wide Virtual Ceremony & Conferral of Degrees
Saturday, June 13 - 10 a.m. PDT

Virtual School Receptions
Receptions immediately follow the ceremony at about 10:30 a.m. PDT 

Links to each reception will be available on the Commencement website.

Preparing for Commencement

Commencement Program - list of grads
The  Commencement Program  lists the names of all qualified students who applied on time for graduation. 

The digital program can be viewed on the Commencement website starting early June.

UCI's bookstore,  The Hill , is the go-to shop for grads and families. 


New Alumni Handshake & Fairs Package
The Division of Career Pathways (DCP) is offering their "New Alumni Handshake & Fairs Package" to UCI graduating students, commencing with grads that completed their degree in Winter 2020. DCP offers this package at no cost and for one year starting immediately upon graduation.

Access to Handshake (UCI's job & internship listing site): 
  • Hundreds of job and internship postings
  • Save searches for future use
  • Save employers as favorites and see when favorite employers have posted new positions
Admission to:
  • Graduate School Fairs
  • Career Fairs
Term: one year commencing from a student's UCI graduation date, starting with those completing degrees in Winter 2020.

Connect with UCI Commencement

The UCI Student Health Center has created  UC SHIP and COVID-19: A Guide for Students and Parents . This guide is intended to assist students who are enrolled in the UC Student Health Insurance Plan and their parents in understanding and navigating their health insurance benefits and options for obtaining health care services while away from campus and during periods of remote learning.

As summer approaches, the Division of Career Pathways (DCP) continues serving students - and recent graduates - with their career development needs:

Countdown to Summer
Students need more than sunscreen during the summer and DCP has launched a series to help them showcase themselves with recruiters, connect with UCI alumni and get their career questions answered.

Career Toolkit: Practical resources at your fingertips
When it comes to preparing for their future, students have a range of questions and needs. DCP created a simple reference guide with job search resources,  sample resumes, tips for interviews and even alumni profiles. Encourage your student to check out the Career Toolkit for their career journey.
