March is
National Nutrition Month and National Peanut MoNTH
EFNEP is always thinking about nutrition but this month is a good time to refocus your nutrition choices and think about the food decisions you make!
This week our nutrition goal for us is to make sure to eat healthy foods from all the food groups!
#NATIONALNUTRITIONMONTH
#foodgroup #healthy #food #nutrition
Did you know that national peanut month has been celebrated since 1974? Here in North Carolina, over 386,000,000 pounds of peanuts were produced in 2018.
Peanuts contain 8 grams of protein per serving and make a great snack! Look for lightly salted or no salt added for the healthiest option.
