Peter Paul Fall Updates

Dear Michelle,

Fall is quickly approaching, and we're excited to share some of our updates with you! As with most organizations, the past few years have forced us to think differently about how we deliver our purpose to Educate the Child, Engage the Family, and Empower the Community through a global pandemic. What we have learned from our students, families and neighbors is that Peter Paul is a valued resource for our community and that there is more we can do. Furthermore, Peter Paul’s full complement of education, family engagement and community empowerment models have proven to be impactful and would benefit similar communities throughout the region. For these reasons, Peter Paul will focus on the replication of our models within community-based settings while operating only at our Coleman Center this coming school year.

We will continue serving RPS students in the East End and beyond while seeking to operate in community-based settings. This approach will enable Peter Paul to:

  • Fully implement our Afterschool Promise Academy at Coleman Center
  • Fully implement our family & community engagement services (Z-LIFE employment initiative, Promise Family Network, Seniors Program, food distribution, emergency response, etc.)
  • Explore the replication of our programs and services in other community-based settings
  • Focus on quality of care and impact while deepening our relationships with families and neighbors of each community
  • Support our staff with enhanced professional and personal development opportunities

Peter Paul remains grateful to the members of our community, staff, and supporters for the relationships they have built with us, the ideas they have brought to our programming, the life experiences they have shared, the feedback they’ve given, and continued support and engagement over the years. We are extremely optimistic about the future of our organization and see this moment in time as an opportunity to solidify our models, values, and methodologies as we prepare for our future in and beyond the East End. For more information, please visit our FAQ page.

We hope you'll take some time to stop by and see us at the Coleman Center this fall! In this email, you'll find ways you can get involved and upcoming events. Be sure to connect with us on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter to stay updated on all things Peter Paul!
