New Emergency & Community Alert System
The Township has launched a new emergency and community alert notification system called Alert Verona through a platform called Rave Mobile. This new system utilizes text messaging, voice calls, email, social media, and the Smart911 app, which will allow us to communicate important updates to residents much more effectively.

Our current platform, NIXLE will be phased out and completely replaced by Alert Verona on Friday, April 16th, 2021.

Alert Verona has been pre-registered with all landline numbers, but we encourage our residents and businesses to register their cell phones and email addresses at alertveronanj.org as soon as possible to avoid missing any important information.

The safety of our residents is our #1 priority so please don't miss out on this opportunity to be a well-informed citizen of Verona.

Verona Public Library
Join us on Thursday, April 1st at 7:00 pm as we’re transported back in time by Carol Simon Levin, a “living history” presenter who will portray “Crazy Daisy,” Juliette Gordon Low (1860 – 1927).

Low, the founder of the Girl Scouts, was an unpredictable, eccentric, nearly-deaf, fun-loving, transatlantic socialite. Beginning with the first gathering of a small group of 18 culturally and ethnically diverse girls, Low broke the conventions of the time—reaching across class, cultural, and ethnic boundaries to ensure that all girls, including those with so-called disabilities, had a place to grow and develop their leadership skills. The Girl Scouts organization is now 2.6 million strong—1.8 million girls and 800,000 adults. This program is suitable for all ages.
