The Council kicked off 2021 with four Capitol Hill Reports featuring members of the New England delegation.  In the days and weeks following the horrific attack on the U.S. Capitol, several of our region's leaders shared their own experiences with Council members, and also discussed some of the important issues before Congress in the weeks and months ahead.

2021 Environmental Policy Outlook 

Expert Panel to Discuss Environmental Policy Under Biden, New Congress


On February 2, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. the NEC Energy & Environmental Committee will present a special program focused on the outlook for federal environmental policy in 2021. A panel of environmental policy experts will share their insights on what to expect from the Biden Administration and the 117th Congress as it relates to environmental regulation and legislation.  Our panel includes:

Council Connections Virtual Networking Series

"Council Connections" Virtual Networking Series to Launch February 9
The New England Council is pleased to announce the launch of our new virtual networking series, Council Connections. We have heard from many members that one aspect of the Council that they have missed the most during the pandemic when in-person gatherings are not possible is the opportunity to network with fellow Council members across different industries and throughout the region. During this hour-long program, you will have the opportunity to meet and converse with other Council members in a series of smaller, randomly assigned group breakout sessions.  Join us for the first session:

Several of the Council's policy committees will hold 2021 planning meetings in the coming weeks.  The purpose of these meetings is to discuss priorities and develop an agenda for the year ahead, as well as to brainstorm about further events and meetings.
