Max K. Wins Programmer for a Day at our 2020 Academy Awards Night Fundraiser!
Our annual Academy Awards Night Fundraiser presented by Rivkin Radler was held on Sunday, February 9. Thanks to generous support from our sponsors and attendees, we were able to raise over $13,000 to support our programs and operations and help us to keep our basic levels of membership and regular ticket prices as low as possible so that our great programs can be accessible to our economically diverse community.

A feature of our annual fundraiser is a robust raffle with nearly 50 prizes, including amazing top prizes like tickets to Billy Joel, a Director's Circle Membership, and Programmer for a Day! This year's Programmer for a Day winner was CAC Member Max K.

Programmer for a Day is a unique opportunity to present one of your favorite films to our CAC members and Patrons, including 10 of your own guests who receive complimentary tickets, free popcorn and soda, and a red carpet photo op. Max K. said, "For several years, I’ve always wanted to show a film with my friends. There are so many selections to choose from, it’s so hard to pick. Honestly I just want to make sure this theater gets more attention and keeps thriving.”

We are thrilled that Max won the Programmer for a Day prize and can't wait to see what he has in store for us. Watch our calendar and weekly program updates.

Everyone enjoyed a great night of Oscar Bingo, our Taste of Huntington Dinner, ice cream personally served by Rick and Cathy Meuser of Herrell's Ice Cream , and of course the Awards Show on the Big Screen.

Over 125 businesses supported our event. Please visit this page to see all of them, and remember if you patronize one of these business, please thank them for helping to make our community programs possible.
We are also happy to announce our Red Carpet Contest Winners! Each Winner receives a full color print of their Red Carpet photo, and a $25 gift card good for any Cinema Arts Centre tickets or cafe items. For the third year, our Red Carpet Contest was sponsored by Concierge Photography by Alex M. Wolff.

This year's winners are:
Joanne Polichetti
Dr. Jud Newborn
Judie Gardner
Scott and Sara Lefkowitz
This event would not have been possible without our amazing Circle of Friends volunteers who helped secure financial sponsorship, Taste of Huntington Dinner contributions, and a ton of raffle prizes! Thanks also to our event volunteers and everyone who made the night a great success.
