The LT Community Advisory Council (LTCAC) is seeking community members to complete its membership for the 2020-2021 academic year. The LTCAC meets five times a year to learn about and discuss important concerns of the school. The Council provides a link between community members and LT. Members include students, staff, parents and community members from all segments of the diverse LT attendance area. To apply for membership, complete an application or contact the 
While school is closed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, school buildings and all of its indoor and outdoor facilities remain closed to the public. Please remind your students that Bennett Field and West Field remain closed and all posted signs should be followed. Thank you.
Pick a favorite chair, hammock, park bench, beach towel or couch and curl up with a good book. There are two dozen options on the Summer Reading List . Choose a fiction or non-fiction book. Students can preview the book on our website. All students need to select one book from the list and be prepared to discuss that book the first week of school in their English classes. Junior and senior Honors and AP students have additional requirements; be sure to check the website for details.

TUNE ON TO LT'S CLASS OF 2020 VIRTUAL COMMENCEMENT
Be sure to tune in to LTTV on Sunday, May 31, at 2pm to see the Class of 2020 Commencement Ceremony.

In addition to Superintendent Dr. Timothy Kilrea and President of the Board of Education Thomas Cushing, please congratulate the following senior students who will serve as speakers during the ceremony:

DIPLOMA DISTRIBUTION DAY

In lieu of an in-person commencement ceremony, LT held a diploma distribution day where seniors picked up their diploma and took a formal photo in cap and gown.

STUDENT BOOK RETURN AND BELONGINGS COLLECTION

Be sure to sign up for time slot to return to campuses June 1-12 to return books and materials and collect belongings. With guidance from the Illinois State Board of Education and Illinois Department of Public Health, the plan includes precautions to maintain social distancing guidelines and to keep students and staff safe. 

Each student can sign up for a 15-minute time slot using an online registration system. Students will be able to retrieve items from school lockers, athletic lockers, PE lockers, and music lockers. Students will not have access to the nurse's office. Any student who needs to retrieve items from the nurse's office should e-mail North Campus [email protected] or South Campus [email protected] to make separate arrangements.
ONLINE REGISTRATION DEADLINE JUNE 5 FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR

The enrollment process deadline for the 2020-21 school year is June 5 with Online Registration (OLR). To ensure your student's schedule will be completed in a timely manner, please follow all instructions carefully:

As a parent/guardian of a returning or incoming LT student from an in-district associate school, you have been provided with an Infinite Campus Portal account. Log in to the Portal, click "Online Registration" and select  "20-21" school year.

If you have  difficulty accessing the Portal or need general OLR assistance, please contact Belinda Salutric  or call (708) 588-7433 Monday-Friday (8am-noon or 6pm-8pm).

The deadline for completing OLR is Friday, June 5, 2020. Failure to complete OLR may impact your student's enrollment in certain courses and may delay your student's ability to participate in co-curricular clubs, activities and athletics.
