We at ACBI hope that you and your families continue to be safe and healthy.  Over the past four weeks, there has been significant media attention on automobile insurers’ plans for reducing policy premiums. With many local governments requiring citizens to remain home and fewer cars on the road, the result has been a significant reduction in accidents and automobile policy claims. Insurers are now planing to pass these savings onto customers.

Individual carriers are handling this situation differently and are communicating directly with their policyholders. If you have any questions about how your company is applying this discount, please contact our office.
The majority of auto insurers have announced plans to credit customers a percentage of 1 or 2 months of auto premiums. While carriers work with state regulators to finalize the details, the specifics vary among carriers.  Some carriers have announced that a credit will be applied on a future installment, some will apply it at the time of renewal, and others will issue a refund.

For clients experiencing difficulty paying premiums due to the current situation, carriers have asked that clients contact their billing department directly to discuss billing options.

These are difficult times and we all look forward to returning to our normal lives when it is safe for us all. We are available to help you in any way that we can. Please contact us via email or at 203-259-7580 with any questions and we will do our best to provide you with the most up to date information.
