CURRENT COMMUNITY MITIGATION LEVEL
SUBSTANTIAL TO SHELTER IN PLACE

The health, safety and welfare of our property owners, residents, employees, visitors and businesses are priority one for Hot Springs Village. We encourage social distancing or sheltering in place to prevent COVID19 from spreading in our community.

We also encourage supporting local businesses as can safely be achieved.  Several are offering delivery services, online services, gift certificates and other creative methods to serve their customers and we applaud their efforts.

We encourage you to visit our webpage  https://explorethevillage.com/members/hsv-covid-19/ that is being used to provide the latest updates, including closings and postponements

From the Board
Remember, Hot Springs Village Board Property Owners Association Board of Directors will be meeting tomorrow, April 15, for a series of three meetings. The meetings begin at 9 a.m. with the Annual Board Meeting followed immediately by a Special Board Meeting to seat the new board and elect its officers.

The meetings will not be open to in-person viewing by the public to reduce possible exposure and spread of COVID-19. The Annual Board Meeting and the Special Board Meeting will be live-streamed on the POA's YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/HSVPOA. The third meeting is an executive session, which is open only to Association Board members and officers to complete new board member orientation.

The Agenda for the Annual Meeting and Special Meeting is available at  https://explorethevillage.com/members/governance/board-of-directors/

State of Arkansas
During his daily COVID-19 update Gov. Asa Hutchinson said that he has issued two executive orders.

The first order allows first responders and  front line workers to file for workman's comp if the virus puts them out of work.

The second provides immunity for health care providers in regards to the virus. This means they cannot be sued if they are working to save lives and transfer the virus.

The number of cumulative positive cases in Arkansas has risen to 1,498 cases with 32 deaths. Eighty-one people are hospitalized and 29 of those are on ventilators.

Other topics included the virus in the prison system, contact tracing and how close Arkansas is to a plateau.

You can watch the governor's daily update on his YouTube page here.

A statewide map is available that shows national, state and county numbers in regards to COVID-19. As of April 14 at 2:30 p.m., the United States deaths attributed to COVID-19 are 25,239.

Staying Healthy
During the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic CHI St. Vincent is committed to doing whatever they can to help keep their patients and the communities they serve safe.

If you feel you have COVID-19 symptoms and need to be screened or tested, CHI St. Vincent has dedicated their primary care and convenient care clinic at 4419 Hwy 7 North as a drive-through prescreening and testing location for Hot Springs Village. Their convenient care clinic in Hot Springs at 100 McGowan Court (next to the hospital) is also operating a drive-through prescreening and testing location.

As reported, seniors and those with previous or underlying conditions, especially respiratory-related conditions, are at an increased risk. If you, a loved one, or anyone you know is experiencing symptoms, please contact your primary care physician by phone. They will instruct you on whether you should be screened or tested. If you don't currently have a primary care physician, you can find one at  chistvincent.com/primarycare  .

With the rise and spread of the coronavirus, please follow the guidelines established by our local and national governments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:
  • Stay at home as much as possible
  • Wash your hands thoroughly and often
  • Cough into your elbow
  • If you must go out, practice social distancing (6 feet or more)
  • Stay away for large crowds (10 or more)
  • Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth (optional)
Stay safe and together, we will get through this. Together we're healthier.
