Late this afternoon, we received the order from San Mateo County Health Officer Dr. Scott Morrow that officially closes all public and private schools through the end of the school year. While we expected this news, it is no less painful to come to terms with this reality.
The school closure covers all end-of-the-year events, including our seniors' graduation ceremony, multiple awards nights, end-of-the-year liturgies and other celebratory events. In anticipation of this news, we have been discussing these events and developing alternative plans.
We know that this news is hard for everyone, none more so than our seniors who have demonstrated incredible leadership in all dimensions of the school. To say that we are proud of you is an understatement. Please know that we will be planning celebrations for the near future and distant future that allow us to appropriately honor and celebrate your many achievements. We will share these plans in the coming weeks once they are finalized.
