Golf Tournament Raises over $85,000!

Thank you to the 100 golfers who joined us for the HomeAid Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, September 14th at Blackhawk Country Club!!

During this pandemic, the HomeAid golf tournament was a perfect substitution for our cancelled Trap Shoot. We appreciate all of the support from our Sponsors, Foursomes, Donors and Volunteers who helped us meet our goal of $80,000 to support our work to provide housing for the homeless in the Bay Area.

Shepherd's Gate Brentwood

Learning and Career Center

The expansion with Builder Captain Signature Homes will add critical components to the Shepherd's Gate Brentwood Campus:

A learning center where the women will have the opportunity to earn their GED, attend math, reading and writing workshops, money management classes, computer courses and online college courses.
Two offices for case managers who are currently occupying a bedroom that could house more women and children.
A multi-purpose room for older children to work on their homework and enjoy after school activities.

West Valley Community Services

Expanded Food Pantry

West Valley Community Services is seeing an unprecedented increase in need for support and services. Because of the COVID-19 crisis, they have seen a 500% increase in new clients since March year over year and have seen a 117% increase in clients per week at the Mobile Food Pantry.

At the press conference this week, West Valley Community Services thanked Edenbridge Homes and HomeAid for stepping up to:

Double the size of the food pantry
Add a new dry storage room and a new 40 person capacity 1,000-square-foot multipurpose room

Bay Area Rescue Mission Bridge of Hope

This fall, HomeAid and Mark Scott Construction will begin construction on Bridge of Hope to provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment for women and children to rebuild their lives and help to break the perpetual cycle of homelessness.

Bridge of Hope will provide:

Housing for an additional 114 women and children in 26 studio-type living areas
Provide critical job skills training and services needed to work towards self-sufficiency and permanent housing.
