Follow Parent & Family Programs on Social Media
Follow us on instagram @wm_families and our Facebook page: W&M Parent and Family Programs to stay up to date on important deadlines, learn about volunteer opportunities, and see on-campus and off-campus resources!

We want parents and families to have all of the resources necessary for their William & Mary experience to be as enriching and rewarding as possible.
Live Workshop Series for Students
Stepping Stones is a series of live workshop sessions. Each of the sessions explores questions asked by students via the New Student Inventory--like, "How do I best manage my time?" and "What's the classroom like?" Sessions occur on Tuesday evenings from 7 - 8 PM (Eastern).

The next Stepping Stone is on Tuesday, July 19th.
New Student Course Registration Opens July 18
From July 18 to July 28, new students will be able to register for up to 8 credits. Your student should have received more information regarding their course registration via their email, and for more resources visit the academic registration page.

We recommend that students learn the basic structure of the undergraduate curriculum and other degree requirements. What are COLL requirements? How do all the credits come together to form a major and an undergraduate degree? This overall picture will help students plan their first semester and first year of study.
The Tribe Guide is Live!
The Tribe Guide is your student's one-stop online source for information about what they need to do before they arrive in Williamsburg this fall. From advising and registration to housing and meal plans, the Tribe Guide is here to help your student make a smooth transition to college life.

Please note that it is your student's responsibility to complete all questionnaires, educational modules, applications, etc. in the student checklist. Check out the Parent & Family Checklist for your own to-do's!

The Parent & Family Council (PFC) is a community of parent donors and volunteer leaders who are dedicated to increasing parent engagement and philanthropy, promoting William & Mary, and strengthening the Tribe family. PFC families enhance student life and student success initiatives by giving and raising vital funds for the Parents Fund and programs across the university. As parent ambassadors, PFC members welcome new Tribe families and help them navigate life with a college student. Members also meet faculty and administrators, provide parent perspectives to William & Mary’s senior leadership, and learn about university initiatives and priorities.
