This is a great opportunity to mix and mingle with other businesses owners and employees in and around North County. Light refreshments will be served with a cash bar. The cost is $10 from Chamber members and $20 for non-members.

Oceanside Chamber Endorses Rick Robinson for Oceanside’s District 2 Council Seat


The Oceanside Chamber’s Advance Oceanside Political Action Committee (AOPAC) has spent much of the last 2 months interviewing and evaluating Candidates for Oceanside’s District 1 and District 2 City Council seats. Last week AOPAC brought its recommendations to the Chamber Board for approval. As a result, the Chamber Board has endorsed Rick Robinson for the Oceanside City Council District 2 seat. Robinson, who has served as Oceanside’s Fire Chief since 2016 will officially retire from the position at the end of July. With a desire to continue actively serving the residents of Oceanside, Robinson decided to make a run at the Council seat in District 2, where he and his wife have lived for many years.

Booth Space Available at Oceanside Harbor Days


On September 17th and 18th 2022 the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce along with Tri-City Medical Center, Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians and Genentech ​ will present Oceanside Harbor Days at the Oceanside Harbor. The event will feature arts and craft exhibits, great food and fun activities for the entire family. The event is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. both days.


The Chamber partners with Kennedy and Associates to handle vendor space for Oceanside Harbor Days. This is a great opportunity to get your business promoted within the Oceanside community!

Oceanside Police Share Random Acts of Kindness


What started as a Secret Santa Operation in December of 2021 has grown to a year-long project aimed at spreading a little kindness around the city of Oceanside. Oceanside Police Department’s Random Acts of Kindness Project has been made possible by a twenty-thousand-dollar donation from the Fortin family, who established an Acts of Kindness Fund within Trauma Intervention Programs Inc.

SOCAL Business Spotlight: Genentech |  Manufacturing Supervisor


Meet Mahima Advani, a Pharma Technical Operations Intern at Genentech. A Genentech internship is an amazing opportunity to learn, network, have fun and work side-by-side with some of the most accomplished experts in the industry. A recent college graduate, Mahima took advanced placement classes in high school and majored in science in college. As an intern in the technical operations, she is responsible for the process design as well as for end-to-end manufacturing and supply of the final medicine that is delivered to patients. Beachfront Improvements Meeting

Junior Seau Beach Community Center


A feasibility study to explore potential improvements to the Junior Seau Beach Community Center, Junior Seau Pier Amphitheater/Bandshell, and the Pier plaza area is underway. The existing site and facilities were evaluated and extensive public feedback was obtained. Potential improvement options were developed based on community input. The final public outreach meeting of the Feasibility Study is scheduled for Wednesday, August 17 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Junior Seau Beach Community Center. We encourage your attendance to view and discuss the proposed improvement options for the site and facilities.

Get Grants of Up to $2,000 Per Employee Out on Paid Family Leave


Do you have employees out on California Paid Family Leave? The California Paid Familiy Leave Grant (CPFLG) allows eligible small businesses in California with 1-100 employees with at least one (1) employee utilizing California’s Paid Family Leave program to apply for grants up to $2,000 per employee to offset the increased costs associated with the employee out on leave.


Businesses impacted by California’s Paid Family Leave program will have increased costs such as training and upskilling existing staff to cover the duties of the employee on California’s Paid Family Leave; hiring and training additional staff to cover the duties of the employee on California’s Paid Family Leave; and marketing, recruitment, and other reasonably foreseeable training costs

California Competes Tax Credit


Apply by August 15


The California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC) is an income tax credit available to businesses that want to locate in California or stay and grow in California. Businesses of any industry, size, or location compete for over $180 million available in tax credits by applying in one of the three application periods each year. Applicants will be analyzed based on twelve different factors of evaluation, including number of full-time jobs being created, amount of investment, and strategic importance to the state or region.

(Source: Tri-City Medical Center)Tri-City Medical Center (TCMC) participated in the Boys and Girls Club of Vista (BGCV) Summer “Career Fair” as part of an ongoing partnership through the hospital’s COASTAL Commitment program. COASTAL stand for Community Outreach and Support Through Active Leadership. The program encompasses more than 80 partners in Carlsbad, Vista, Oceanside and the surrounding communities.


Members of the External Affairs team, Jessica Shrader, Cassie Klapp and Kelsey Fetzer attended the career fair and spoke with the children. The TCMC team answered their questions, told the kids about their career journey and how they came to work at TCMC. Senior Director of Business Development at TCMC, Jeremy Raimo serves on the Board at BGCV.
