GREAT NEWS! THE ISPTSA, IN CONJUNCTION WITH PRINCETON REVIEW, IS OFFERING ONLINE PRACTICE ACT & SAT TESTS

Saturday, February 6, 9:00 AM
Fee: $25 per test

How it works:
  1. The fee is $25 per test, and all proceeds go to the ISPTSA, which benefits our students.
  2. Princeton Review creates online accounts and enrolls students in the virtual exams.
  3. On the day of the test, students log in from home (or whatever location they choose) and take the exams online.
  4. Exams are digitally timed and proctored.
  5. Results are available immediately.

Note: These practice tests are open to students from any school or school district.

2021 BSD VIRTUAL COLLEGE CONFERENCE

Wednesday, February 10, 6:00–8:30 PM

The 2021 Virtual College Conference is a great opportunity for high school families to listen to professionals discuss the ins and outs of preparing for college. Our presenters come from colleges and businesses from across the country and are available to answer your questions. Students and families from all BSD high schools are welcome to join the live virtual sessions.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY WEEKLY VIRTUAL DROP-IN TUTORING PROGRAM FOR IS STUDENTS

National Honor Society has created a weekly drop-in tutoring program for students of International on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If your student(s) are interested, they can open their International School Teams, click on the corresponding channels and join the scheduled meetings in those channels. They can also join directly using the meeting links below.

BELLEVUE SCHOOLS FOUNDATION ANNUAL SPRING FOR SCHOOLS LUNCHEON NEWS

The Bellevue Schools Foundation Annual Spring for Schools luncheon is going virtual. Our event is virtual. The need for your support is real. We are busy planning a wonderful virtual event of giving and camaraderie for our donors and community. Our event will be held on April 30, 2021. More details to follow.

OPEN REGISTRATION FOR NEWPORT LACROSSE

Calling all interested students who reside in the Newport High School zone. Newport Lacrosse is currently registering players for the 2021 season. High school practices are starting now, and youth practices (6th–8th) start at the end of January. Come join us. WINTER 2021 AMC & AIME TRAINING

Math contest veterans David Lee (5-time USA(J)MO qualifier) and Daniel Hong (USAMO winner) are hosting their 3rd AMC/AIME-level math program from February–March 19 (Tuesday, Friday 5:00–7:00 PM).

David is a senior at Interlake High School, and Daniel is a senior at Skyline High School. In addition to fourteen lectures, they will release three original mock mini-AIMEs.

GIRLS WHO CODE VIRTUAL SUMMER IMMERSION PROGRAM

Apply to Girls Who Code’s Virtual Summer Immersion Program (SIP) for an unforgettable summer experience! During this FREE 2-week virtual program, you’ll learn the computer science skills you need to make an impact, get an inside look into the tech field, and join a supportive lifelong sisterhood—all while being virtually hosted by influential companies like Twitter, AT&T, Bank of America, Walmart, and more. Current 9th–11th-grade girls and non-binary students are eligible to apply. SIP is 100% free and need-based stipends of up to $300 are available for those who qualify. Low tech? No tech? No problem! Girls Who Code is there to support you!

  • Documents in plain text are preferred, however, you are welcome to include an image or icon as a separate attachment—please do not include them in the body of your email or document.
  • If you need to link to a registration form or document, send us either the address of the link or a pdf copy of the document.
  • If you would like your article to repeat in successive Monday Messenger editions, please resubmit it for each edition in which you would like it to appear. If you do not resubmit it, it will not be republished.
