Thank you USF Students and VISTA Volunteers!
Thank you to the
USF Bulls students who stampeded VISTA Gardens on Saturday, January 19! Through your voluntarism, VISTA was able to beautify the House of the Rising Seeds (HRS) and shared gardening spaces - starting a wall mural, resetting pavers and stones, planting flower gardens, and beginning work on an herb spiral.
Thank you's also to VISTA team leaders,
Ellen Fabozzi and
Vanitha Venugopal, who worked closely with small groups of volunteers.
Karen and Mitch Rose, along with
Ellen Whitaker, who assisted volunteers working on the evolving herb spiral.
Laura Salgado and
Alicia Ladd, who created a wonderful garden salad with contributions of harvest from many VISTA gardeners.
Mike Escobar, who contributed his delicious Portuguese kale soup. Laura, along with
Cheryl Smith, gathered and organized a multitude of supplies, snacks, and drinks to keep our volunteers well hydrated and fed. Many other VISTA gardeners joined in supporting USF volunteers and helping in a multitude of ways, including
Bill, Marty, Corinna, Jenn and Lisa.
It was a beautiful day to be at VISTA Gardens!
