Pursuant to President Biden's Presidential Memorandum on Jan 26, 2021, executive departments and agencies have been tasked with submitting a detailed plan for implementing Executive Order 13175 and have scheduled tribal consultation to obtain tribal input on strengthening and improving the tribal consultation policy and process.

S. 796. Protecting Moms Who Serve Act. Codifies maternity care coordination programs at the Department of Veterans Affairs, and for other purposes. Calls for the first-ever comprehensive study on the scope of America's maternal health crisis among women Veterans-with a focus on racial and ethnic disparities on maternal health outcomes-while also supporting maternal care coordination programs at Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities. Invests $15 million in maternity care coordination programs. Commissions a comprehensive study on maternal mortality and severe maternal morbidity among Veterans, with a focus on racial and ethnic disparities in maternal health outcomes.

Office of the Inspector General has announced that they will be auditing the Indian Health Service COVID-19 vaccine policies and procedures for COVID-19 vaccines distributed to Tribal Health Programs. The audit period is Dec 11, 2020 - Feb 28, 2021.
CMS Updates Vaccine Toolkit. CMS updates COVID-19 vaccine toolkit which includes: increased vaccine administration reimbursement rate of $40 for Medicare, updates to coverage, and cost sharing under Medicaid, CHIP, and BHP.
