Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza Give Back Night

Thank you to everyone who turned out for last night's Community Give Back at Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza.

A percentage of your meal was donated to VISTA and will go toward maintenance and garden projects.

One waitress observed that all of those dining in her section were there for VISTA. She usually only sees about 25% of diners attending on behalf of the featured organization during give back nights.

We hope you enjoyed your meal and your companions. We appreciate your support!

A special thank you to Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza for being so supportive and generous to the garden and other non-profit organizations in our community.

Join us after the morning talk for a potluck lunch. Visit with your garden comrades, discuss what you learned and share your shut down plans, tips and best practices. It will be a great way to celebrate a successful growing season. Bring your favorite dish to share, plus your own beverages and a chair!

Assistance STILL Needed

We STILL need volunteers to pick up aged produce from The Community Food Pantry at the Village Presbyterian Church (blue roof) daily. We will not be able to produce the beautiful Black Gold Compost without the intake from the pantry.

Summer vacations will be on us very soon and we need coverage support. Please volunteer to do this very simple task at least one time. It is minimal effort and will be a big help for the compost committee.

Please don't leave this task to 'others'... call MJ Wentzel (813-215-0780) and tell her know you are willing to take a shift.
