(text to Report 17 when first released.)
Dear Angel Quest Friends,
Here is a link to the next Field Report. It is about the fifth century St. Michael's Church in Perugia, Italy. This Church is NOT one of the monasteries of St. Michael's Sword, but it is EXACTLY on the St. Michael line.
Also, nearby is the University of Perugia which was founded in 1308. The University has a strong archaeology department and I was able to interview, inside the St. Michael's Church, two of their archaeologists. This report features one of those archaeologists, Donatella Scortecci, who has done a lot of research on this building.
I was able to interview a number of individuals during my trip, and this is the first I am reporting on because it describes well one of my destinations. Donatella is fluent in Italian so we arranged ahead of time for her to essentially give me a lecture (she's looking at me) while I listened intently but not understanding a word she said. Over the past month she provided the translation and together we worked to line the words up with the video.
